Marine diesel engine parts introduction - Prevention of engine carbon deposits

The following aspects should be considered:

① Maintain good sealing of the cylinder;

② Ensure good fuel atomization;

③ Keep the intake and exhaust passages unobstructed;

④ Adjust the valve timing and supply time accurately;

⑤ The spark plug's firing voltage should be normal;

⑥ The engine water temperature should be normal;

⑦ Select qualified and specified fuel grades;

⑧ Use the vehicle correctly, avoid prolonged overloading, and avoid heavy throttle operation;

⑨ Carry out timely maintenance and vehicle care to keep the engine in a good technical condition.

When removing carbon deposits from aluminum alloy parts such as pistons and vertical cylinder heads, a cleaning solution can be prepared by mixing 20 grams of sodium carbonate, 8 grams of sodium silicate, 10 grams of soap, 5 grams of potassium permanganate, and 1000 grams of water. Heat the solution to 70-80℃, and immerse the parts in the cleaning solution for about 30 minutes. After the carbon deposits become soft, remove them and rinse with hot water and dry.
