Marine diesel engine connecting rod bearing

The connecting rod bearing consists of the upper bearing and the lower bearing on the connecting rod. It is installed at the connection point between the connecting rod and the crankshaft, and serves the functions of wear resistance, connection, support, and transmission. The inner cylindrical surface of the upper bearing of the connecting rod is equipped with oil grooves circumferentially, and the corresponding central angle of the oil grooves is 80 to 120 degrees. Oil holes are set on the connecting rod bearing wall of the oil grooves.

By setting oil grooves with reasonable arc lengths on the connecting rod bearing, it ensures that during the engine operation, the engine oil can supply fuel to the piston at the most appropriate time and period, ensuring good cooling of the piston and avoiding cylinder wear and damage; at the same time, its reasonable oil groove arc length can ensure the oil supply volume, which can not only ensure reliable cooling but also avoid waste of engine oil and the negative impact of excessive engine oil on the engine operation; at the same time, the positioning protrusions set on the connecting rod bearing enable the connecting rod bearing to be assembled at a reasonable position, so that the oil groove area of the connecting rod bearing avoids the heavy load stress area, ensuring that the wear of the connecting rod bearing is small during operation.
