1. Acid Neutralization Capacity:

Due to the high sulfur content in diesel, the sulfur compounds (SO2, SO3) produced after combustion, together with the condensed water that forms on the cylinder wall during cold engine start-up or frequent starting/stopping (when the temperature is below the dew point), generate a large amount of strong acids. This causes severe corrosion to the metal cylinder system and accelerates the aging of the oil. Therefore, diesel engine oil is required to have a high total base number (TBN), such as DK28 diesel engine parts, to maintain good acid neutralization capacity.

2. Anti-wear Performance:

The rotational speed of the crankshaft in gasoline engines is higher, and it is difficult for the bearing bushings to form and maintain an appropriate thickness of oil film for lubrication; the processing clearance of gasoline engines is smaller, and they are more prone to wear. In addition, in the ignition and valve actuation system of gasoline engines, the valves, cams, and push rods systems, which operate at high speeds and frequently, also exacerbate the wear of the valve system. Therefore, gasoline engine oil is required to have good lubrication performance, minimizing component wear and extending service life to the greatest extent.
