Analysis of the causes of the starting system of marine diesel engine components

⑴ Starting system: Leakage in the air pipeline or the pipeline being too long, insufficient air source pressure, damage to the air compressor, etc.

⑵ Fuel system: Low oil pressure, the parking lever is not lowered, the fuel tank valve is not opened, the fuel tank is empty, the fuel tank is positioned too low, there is air in the fuel pipeline, the diesel filter is too dirty, the overspeed stopping device is not reset, the rack is stuck and not at the refueling position, the fuel injector is not atomized, the fuel pump is not pumping oil or the fuel injector is not spraying oil.

⑶ Intake and exhaust system: The air filter is clogged, the intercooler is clogged, the explosion-proof door valve is not opened, the valve timing is incorrect, the exhaust system is clogged.

⑷ Combustion system: Insufficient compression pressure, too large or too small clearance between the piston and the cylinder head, too large or too small extension of the cylinder head beyond the cylinder cover plane.

⑸ External conditions: Starting with load, the lubricating oil temperature is too low and the viscosity is too high; water temperature is too low, ice forms in the water pump; diesel temperature is too low and the viscosity is too high.

⑹ Internal conditions: The valves collide with the piston or there are foreign objects in the cylinder; seizing of the bearing, seizing of the shaft, seizing of the cylinder.
