Type of crankcase oil forced lubrication syste

The type of the crankcase oil system is divided into the wet oil sump type and dry oil sump type lubricating oil system according to the structure of the diesel engine.

(1) wet sump type lubricating oil system

The lubricating oil of the wet oil sump type lubricating oil system is stored in the oil sump of the diesel engine. When the diesel engine runs normally, the lubricating oil of the oil sump is sucked by the slide oil pump it carries and sent to various lubricating parts by the oil cooler. After lubrication, it flows back to the oil sump, forming an independent lubricating system.This kind of lubricating oil system is characterized by simple structure, diesel engine with lubricating oil pump, pipeline attached to the engine body, and less oil storage in oil sump.However, the downside of this system is that the oil in the oil sump is often contaminated by the high-temperature gas leakage from the combustion chamber, which is easy to deteriorate, so the service life of the oil is short.This system is often used in small diesel engine power units.

(2) dry oil sump type lubricating oil system

Dry oil sump type lubricating oil system, the lubricating oil is stored in a separate oil circulation tank (tank).

There are two forms:

Single pump system.The oil circulation tank (tank) is located under the oil sump of the diesel engine. The oil pump absorbs oil from the tank and is sent to the lubricating parts after being cooled by the oil cooler. After being lubricated, it flows back to the bottom of the diesel engine by means of gravity and finally flows back to the oil circulation tank (tank).

Double pump system.The system has two oil pumps, one of which has the function of absorbing oil and pumping in the single pump system.The other is specially designed to pump the lubricating oil from the oil sump of a diesel engine to the circulation tank.The circulating tanks and pipelines of the system are not restricted by the position of the diesel engine, and the lubricating oil is not stored in the oil sump, which improves the working conditions of the lubricating oil and extends the service life, but requires adding a lubricating oil pump.In the lubricating oil system of diesel engine, the single pump dry sump type lubricating oil system is more, which is characterized by large oil storage, convenient oil precipitation and purification treatment, sufficient cooling and long service life of lubricating oil.However, it occupies a larger position and the pipeline is more complex.The system is suitable for large and medium diesel engines.This is a typical dry lubrication system.The main oil pump 004 can absorb oil from the self-circulation oil tank in two ways: the pressure is raised to 1.1mpa through the crosshead oil pump 008 and the pressure is fed into the crosshead after the crosshead oil is imported into 009.In addition, the oil pressure of 0.4mpa is sent to the main bearing and thrust bearing.Each bearing lubricates the oil return through the oil sump into the circulating oil tank.
