Lubricating oil pump is an important component of lubricating oil system, which is mainly used for conveying and recovering lubricating oil of engine bearing and transmission gear. Engine oil system is an indispensable part of the engine, and the quality and performance of the oil pump directly affect the performance of the engine oil system.

The oil pump is mainly composed of two meshing gears I and II, and the pump body III and the front and rear pump cover N to accommodate them. On the pump body, an oil discharge port and an oil suction port are respectively provided at the place where the gear begins and disengages. The oil suction and pressure chamber is composed of the tooth groove of the gear, the inner surface of the pump body and the front and rear pump covers. When the driving gear I and driven gear II rotate in the direction shown in the figure, as the meshing teeth on the side of the oil suction cavity gradually withdraw from meshing, the space increases, forming a local vacuum, and the oil enters the oil suction cavity under the action of external atmospheric pressure. The teeth on the side of the oil drain cavity gradually enter the mesh, squeezing out the oil between the teeth and forcing out the oil pressure port. When the gear continuously rotates, the oil pump continuously absorbs and presses oil. That's how the oil pump works.
