The main components of Marine diesel engine parts

According to the functions of each component during operation, the main components of Marine diesel engine parts can be classified into combustion chamber assemblies, crank connecting rod mechanisms and support connection assemblies. Their respective functions and working conditions are different, and their requirements for maintenance and management are also distinct.

(1) Combustion chamber assembly

The combustion chamber assembly includes the cylinder liner, cylinder head and piston assembly. Together, they form a closed cylinder working space, which is the space for the replacement of working fluids, the formation of gas and the expansion of work in diesel engines. They all withstand the direct and repeated effects of high temperatures, high pressures and corrosive gases. High pressure and high temperature cause relatively serious damage to each component of the combustion chamber. Among them, the effect of high temperature is rather complex and there are many influencing factors, so it should be paid more attention to in actual management.

(2) Crank connecting rod mechanism

The crankshaft connecting rod mechanism consists of a connecting rod assembly and a crankshaft assembly. They convert the reciprocating motion of the piston into the rotational motion of the crankshaft, and transform the gas pressure acting on the piston into torque, which is then output outward through the crankshaft. During operation, the components of the crank connecting rod mechanism mainly bear mechanical loads formed by pneumatic force and motion inertia.

(3) Support connecting components

The main supporting connection components include the base, main bearing, body, etc. They form the framework of diesel engines, support and install moving parts, combustion chamber assemblies, and various system equipment of diesel engines.
