Marine diesel engine parts introduce the working characteristics of intake valve

Intake valve working status

The engine intake valve needs to go through four stages in the working process: intake, compression, combustion and exhaust. In the intake stage, the intake valve opens and fresh air enters the combustion chamber. During the compression phase, the intake valve closes and the piston rises to compress the air and fuel mixture. During the combustion phase, the intake valve remains closed and the mixture is ignited to generate power. In the exhaust stage, the exhaust valve is opened and the exhaust gas is discharged from the combustion chamber.

The working characteristics of the intake valve

The engine intake valve needs to have certain characteristics in the working process. First of all, the intake valve needs to have a good sealing performance to ensure that the pressure in the combustion chamber will not leak. Secondly, the intake valve needs to have a certain strength and wear resistance to withstand high-speed movement and high temperature and high pressure working environment. In addition, the intake valve also needs to have the characteristics of rapid response to meet the requirements of the engine under different working conditions.
