Marine diesel engine accessories L16/24 thrust disc thrust head

Thrust head: A component for mounting the mirror plate and transferring the axial force from the spindle to the thrust bearing mirror plate. The thrust head and mirror plate of high-speed hydrogenerator or generator motor are cast into one body called "thrust head mirror plate", or the thrust head, mirror plate and spindle are cast into one body.

Thrust disc: The disc that transfers axial thrust from the rotor to the thrust bearing. The thrust tile is installed on both sides of the thrust plate, and there is a wedge-shaped oil film between the thrust tile and the thrust plate to maintain lubrication and prevent grinding.

For single-cylinder units, the thrust disc is installed on the high-pressure side of the turbine rotor, usually in the front box, the purpose of this arrangement is because the rotor is to generate axial displacement in the direction of the generator when the unit is rushing. However, for large units (intermediate reheat units), the thrust disc is not arranged in the front box, but in the wheel box, because when the intermediate reheat unit is rushing, the turbine rotor is axial displacement in the direction of the turbine head rather than the generator.

Thrust tile: the thrust bearing can swing freely and flexibly on the fixed support body, and the mirror plate forms the dynamic pressure oil film lubrication, bearing, and the fan component composed of the friction surface layer and the tile body.
