After installing a new ring or replacing the cylinder liner of the diesel engine, the running-in must be carried out according to the instructions. Strictly implement the rotational speed (load) and time of running-in, and do not act too fast. The cylinder oil volume should be increased appropriately and pure mineral oil should be used. Pay attention to the monitoring of the discharge temperature and cooling water temperature to find out the possible faults during running-in and ensure the running-in quality.
The brand and quantity of cylinder oil meet the requirements of the manual. The wrong idea that more cylinder oil is better than less cylinder oil should be avoided. Too much cylinder oil may cause carbon deposition and waste cylinder oil, while too little will cause poor lubrication. The alkalinity of the cylinder oil shall be determined according to the fuel conditions, and the alkalinity shall meet the requirements to avoid low-temperature corrosion of the cylinder piston ring and extend the service life of the ring.
The proper coolant temperature should make the average working temperature of the first ring below+200 ℃, and also make the cylinder oil evenly distributed on the cylinder wall, reduce friction and wear, prevent carbon deposition and low-temperature corrosion, and prevent ring sticking and ring breaking.
