Marine diesel engine accessories tell you several ways to prevent engine carbon deposition

L28/32 diesel engine accessories What is engine carbon deposit?

Carbon deposition is the residue produced by the incomplete combustion of unsaturated olefins and colloids in engine oil and fuel at high temperatures during engine operation. With the timely discharge of exhaust gas, these residues do not accumulate in various positions of the system, thus forming a black paste material, which is called "carbon deposition".

Carbon deposition is not completely "carbon", but refers to a kind of substance, which is generally spongy and has oil absorption characteristics. It will make the incompletely burned gasoline become carbon deposition again. The layer by layer accumulation will become thicker and thicker, causing a vicious cycle. In serious cases, it will even block half of the intake valve.
