L28/32 Diesel Engine Parts Cylinder Regular Maintenance
After installing the new ring or replacing the diesel engine cylinder liner, the marine diesel engine accessories must be run-in according to the instructions. Strictly implement the running-in speed (load) and time, do not act too hastily, increase the cylinder oil appropriately and use pure mineral oil, pay attention to monitoring the exhaust temperature and cooling water temperature, and find out the possible faults in the running-in in time to ensure the running-in quality
The grade and oil volume of the cylinder oil meet the requirements of the manual, and the misconception that more cylinder oil is better than less should be avoided. Too much cylinder oil may cause carbon formation and waste cylinder oil, and too little will cause poor lubrication. The alkalinity of the cylinder oil should be determined according to the condition of the fuel oil, and the alkalinity should meet the requirements of avoiding low-temperature corrosion of the cylinder piston ring and prolonging the service life of the ring.
Appropriate coolant temperature should keep the average working temperature of the first ring below, and make the cylinder oil evenly distributed on the cylinder wall, reduce friction and wear, prevent carbon formation and low-temperature corrosion, and prevent ring sticking and ring breakage.
Periodically inspect the hanging cylinder, make maintenance records, and analyze the wear amount and speed of the ring through the parameters of each hanging cylinder. In particular, enough attention should be paid to the wear speed and shape of the cylinder, ring and ring groove. If the wear speed is too fast, the cause must be found out and solved in time. A wear monitoring system is established to monitor and diagnose the wear of the piston rings by the quantity, size, morphology and composition of the abrasive particles in the lubricating oil generated during the operation of the diesel engine.
