Installation of marine diesel engine accessories
①Cylinder head gasket
When assembling, the curled side should face the cylinder head; if it is installed reversely, it will leak air early, burn the cylinder gasket, and affect its service life.
②Piston
The horseshoe-shaped groove on the top or the peach-shaped tip on the top side should face upward; if it is installed reversely, it is not conducive to the mixing of fuel and air, and the unburned fuel cannot produce secondary eddy motion and the combustion is incomplete, resulting in the diesel engine cannot be started or started. Not working properly after.
③ Assembly of connecting rod and piston
The oil hole at the small end of the connecting rod and the horseshoe-shaped groove on the top of the piston or the peach-shaped tip on the top should face upward; otherwise, the bushing at the small end of the connecting rod and the piston pin cannot be lubricated, resulting in dry friction.
④The upper and lower tiles of the connecting rod tile
If it is a newly replaced bearing, it will not be divided into upper and lower; if it is used, it should be installed in its original position, and should not be shifted up and down, otherwise it will affect the matching relationship between the journal and the bearing.
⑤Combination of connecting rod cover and connecting rod
There are assembly marks on the big end of the connecting rod and the back of the connecting rod cover. When assembling, the marked ones should be on the same side. Otherwise, the original machining accuracy of the diameter of the big end of the connecting rod cannot be guaranteed, and the correct fit between the bush and the shaft will also be destroyed.
⑥Injector pressure plate
One side of the pressure plate is a flat surface, and the other side is an arc surface. When installing, the arc surface should face the injector body to ensure that the injector is centered and not skewed when it is pressed, otherwise it is easy to cause air leakage from the mounting seat hole.
⑦Oil seal
All oil seals, such as crankshaft oil seals, starter shaft oil seals, etc., should face the body with the self-tightening spring. If installed reversely, the seal in the crankcase is not tight, causing oil leakage.
